Biography

Alexandrine Catherine was born in Rotterdam on the 21st of December, 1798, as the daughter of Gerard van der Looij Houthoff and Alexandrine Henon. She was christened in Rotterdam (Walloon church) on January 9, 1799.^[1]

She (23) married in Rotterdam on the 13th of November, 1822, with Johannes Cornelis Dahmen (21), a music master an the son of Hermanus, and Alijda van Eck, who were both living in Rotterdam and consenting to the marriage.^[2][3]

Alexandrine Catharine (36) passed away of tuberculosis^[4] at 1pm in Rotterdam, in the house at the Oppert F40, on the 21st of June, 1835. She was the wife of Johannes Cornelis Dahmen.^[5]

Witnesses were Catherine Agathe van der Looij, wife of Coreille Lans.

Marriage

Witnesses were Willem van Aalst (61), Jacob de Visser (50), Cornelis van der Linden (48), respectively Sergeants of Heeren Burgemeesteren^[6], and Frans Vosman (55), servant, all witnesses were living in Rotterdam.

Notification done in Rotterdam on June 23, 1835, by George Scriwanek (40), music master, living at Solwe R29, and Cornelis Dorpmans (40), wallpaperer, living at the Binneweg A132, acquaintances of the deceased, all living in Rotterdam.
